So Much to Do- So Much Fun

It has been an excellent week.

I finally got my article done on the firefighters.  I attended two meetings to get information on another special article I am working on.  AND- the GCG was featured again on the main Zoomvillage home page.

I have so much in mind for the GCG- if I can just find the time to get it all done. :)

Bad Day- Good Days

All in all it has been a good few days.  I was so sick yesterday I couldn’t do anything.  So—I had to make up some news for the last couple of days.

On a good note though, the GCG was featured twice on the main Zoomvillage home page—WOOHOO!!!

I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Happy Anniversary to Me

So far it’s been a great week.

I have had some pretty good stories for my newspaper.

Tuesday, I went to Schubert’s Ice Cream Shop in Chico because they FINALLY got the sugar free espresso candies in that I love so much.  I had been waiting for months for them to come in.  If you live in the area and you have not tried them, you should.  You will have to wait for the next shipment though—I bought them all, lol.  I am not going to take the chance of them being out again.  I will last at least three months now until I have to buy some more.

Yesterday was my 14th wedding anniversary.  I had my favorite meal—snails—sea snails that is, Lobster.  YUM!  I also got a phone call yesterday from my old employer.  It appears I may be returning to a place I really love to work.  Getting that PFT license really paid off.

Having the Time of My Life

Last week was a good week.  I went to Sacramento to take my test to become a Pulmonary Function Technologist.  I passed- of course.  I would not take a test of this gravity unless I was sure I would pass.

Now to refocus.  I need to blog more regularly.  This is one of my ongoing goals.  I have recently reconnected with a fellow writer who has motivated me to get back to my blog.

I love writing the newspaper for my hometown.  I have received some “flack” from a rival journalist, but it has just spurred me on even more.  I am having a blast writing the paper.  I enjoy seeing things happen up close and have met many interesting people.

I try to have a different twist on the way I present things that happen in my community.  Last week I wrote an article on the last baby born last year in Oroville.  The idea totally paid off, since there turned out to be a really cool background story.

Now—on to more writing. J
